I’ve had a few prospective tenants asking about self-help schemes run by various councils where they offer a certain amount that you can keep instead of deposit, has any come across these schemes? From what I can gather rent needs to match or be below the local authority rate which it isn’t and I can’t think that not having a deposit is right??
Incentive payment for taking on tenants even the council don’t want.

LL are at a crossroads, if you do things right then you control the actions. If someone cannot meet my expectations or do things my way, they are not taken on, period. I have learnt this over many years and its stood me in good stead.
