Hi, I’m a leaseholder of a flat in a block of flats where the freeholder is a local authority. I am planning to let my property and would like to know what happens to the annual service charge that I pay as a leaseholder? Can I - as a landlord - include this charge in the rent and say “includes service charge”? Thank you.
of course you can That is only fair as the renter gains the service charge benefits
