Tax on B2L sale

I rent myself and have no home of my own that I live in. I have 2 B2L properties that I have been renting out and never lived in.

I’m about to sell 1 B2L, can I ‘claim’ one of them as my residential home and therefore not pay tax on the sale?

You pay CGT in proprtion to how long youve lived there, so if youve owned it for 5 years and you live there for 6 months before its sold, you only get a 10% saving, although they do add 9 months to the period of residence.

Those in the military, living in service accommodation, can nominate a property as their main home without living in it, but you, I believe, will have no exception & so must pay.
