I ask my tenants to either redirect the post to me and stick it back in the post box or just send me a text when I have post. Most of it is other agents wanting to rent my property but if it looks important (or in a brown envelope ) I collect it. It must be frustrating for tenants to have random post that they can’t open/bin. Just like all the crud from past tenants. Amazing what builds up.

I cannot see how anyone could buy a property without the solicitors involved informing the leaseholder
if they bought an ex-council flat in a block still owned by council then council is freeholder and are not informed during purchase process. once conveyanced the leaseholder has responsibility to give freeholder home address.
