Landlords have to be a bit smarter about protecting their property. for example, ventilation. better to have permanent supply trickle vents installed so the tenant has no choice but to have the property ventilated. a surprising number of adults have no idea about humidity control. who can explain the dew point, for example?
totally agree but how do you stop a tenant from blocking off the vents ?
i have guards over the vents (I didnāt adapt them, thatās the way they came), to access the vents you would have to unscrew the guards, it would be an act of deliberate vandalism. Also, one benefit of council flats in tower blocks is they have passive ventilation using risers which create a constant flow of air out, which appear not to be doing anything but which just work constantly in the background and canāt be tampered with, a benefit of living in a block!
that sounds clever and well planned thru
its just the way they are supplied, i didnāt do much clever! permanent trickle vents with humidity booster function. you can hear them when they boost and you can hear them permanently on if you stand right next to them but thatās all
