So my tenant has finally agreed to move out and we are about to sign a deed of surrender. I live in the US she lives, obviously in the UK and she is requesting express DHL delivery due to the fact that she needs it by November 2. There is no clause that I can find that says the landlord has to initiate so she could also initiate it and DHL it to me and then sign it however, I’m not trying to be petty, but I do think she should split the cost of me DHL the documents. What is your opinion? I am also allowing her to move out early rather than the two months that is usually necessary.
You said FINALLY move out. So you are happy about that? . How much is DHL cost?
I am happy but she has been trying things on. Yes I’m happy she’s moving out but what I’m unclear about is that why everything has to be sent DHL from my end and then she said she needed to send DHL back which does not make sense to me. I would be happy to have her put the signed document through my neighbors door and from my end that would be complete. The fee is $120 which seems high and I’m sure that she has known about this new place for a couple of weeks, so I’m unsure why there is suddenly a rush. Yes, I will pay it, but it just seems that she’s taking advantage.
