Just a question I offered a property to a lady who placed a holding deposit , hadn’t communicated after this really and wouldn’t reply to lots of emails and after filling half of the application in.
Eventually tracked her down and spoke to her on the phone and she now says she doesn’t want it and not the decency to let me know, [property is empty]
She placed a holding deposit , what happens know ? Does the money come to me for loss of rent or time etc.
If so how do I go about it

If the holding deposit was placed via Openrent then I would certainly ask OR for it.
Tenant has pulled out. You have the choice of keeping the holding deposit.
After investigating , the proposed tennant can put a holding deposit on your property but even if they now don’t want it and if they don’t cancel it and you do they get their full money back !
If you wait it out tho ,it has to be 14-15 days before you can put a claim in, even if they clearly don’t want the property this again is taking too long .
