Two amonth of rent payments in one tenancy agreement

Hi, Tenant is asking for 18 months contract, first 6 months £2300 and next 12 months £2500 pcm. Is that legal?

I would suggest 6 months and then let it go periodic. You can then increase the rent with a s13 notice if you wish to.

Just want to make sure it happens. Tenants asking for 18 months contract fix and agreed to pay £2300 for first 6 month and £2500 for 12 month fixed

The golden rule is dont over-complicate things. I would decline the request.
