I have a tenanted property where the tenant has not paid the gas bill and as a result the gas provider has installed a pre payment meter, without my consent.
The tenant has never credited this so effectively there is no gas supply.
The gas safe cert has expired but clearly the check cannot be carried out.
I have tried repeatedly to get them to have the gas put on, advising of term of lease, gas safe is required etc but nothing. They have become uncooperative and I’m on the verge of looking Into issuing a section 21, not solely because of this but due to late rent, damage to property
