Ventilation issues

Hi all,
We are in the process of working out what is the best way to combat damp inside and out.
I know this has been mentioned on others posts but does anybody have any experience with Positive input ventilation (for flats) against just putting air vents in the rooms? If so how did this impact on heating bills etc, if at all?

We installed an Envirovent system in one of our rentals and are very pleased with it.
Of interest to note, the first 2 tenancies we had in that flat were couples. The next was a family of 2 parents, 2 children and a cat. That was when the mould began, having not been seen before.

We installed an HRVU (heat recovery ventilation unit system) in a penthouse apt. we intended living in. We lived there for about 9 months, and it worked a treat, no condensation issues whatsoever, continuous fresh warmed air circulated around the entire property, and efficient humidity removal from the bathrooms.

Thanks for your replies. Just trying to weigh up whether they’re worth the money vs inserting air vents. Think further research is required.

We installed one in an old, single skin cottage - it has helped significantly.
