Young couple rental- one partner has IVA

My partner an I are looking to rent, he currently rents with a private landlord, has full payment history with his landlord, however my partner is currently on an IVA. We have a joint income of around 50k. My credit score is fine and have no negative comments on my file.

We are abit confused about the problems that may occur as a result of the IVA, we have high income and gold affordability to cover rent, he will also have a reference from his landlord to confirm 100% payment history, I believe his experian credit score is around 500 out of 1000.

Any information of people in similar situations or landlords would be appreciated.

I am a landlord sounds ok to me. Be upfront with any potential landlord What we dont like is finding out something negative that should have been previously disclosed, as then we think ,what else is there?

Be sure to disclose it upfront and a good landlord will do the same. What is infuriating is when potential tenants don’t disclose and hope they will pass a credit check. You won’t.

Yes we obviously have full intentions on being completely upfront about the IVA he has.
