£1 - £2 coin electric meter

Hello everyone,

Has anyone ever come across a flat with £1 - £2 coin electric meter? Is this a red flag when looking for a flat? It seems very unconventional and when looking online the reasons for this always lead to something bad (e.g. old electric system or profiteering).

Any advice on this and on what questions to ask landlords when coming across this kind of meters?

i have had £1 meters . Now i have £20 cards .on some sub meters prepaid. There is a limit on what a landlord can charge so you need to check on this
