4 adult occupants, 2 will be paying rent. Are they all tenants?

I’m new to this.

I will rent the house to 2 professional working adults who will pay the rent.
2 of their elderly parents will live there too. They won’t be contributing to the rent.

Do I put them all (all 4 adults) on the tenancy?
Do I need to do any vetting/screening of the older couple?

You need to do ‘Right to Rent’ checks on all 4.

You could either list the parents as ‘permitted occupiers’ or as tenants.

Note: if you are using Openrent RentNow, there is not an option to add permitted occupiers, so you will need to add your own custom clause.
