so I had this 3 bed for rent listed. Almost all enquiries are hmo ones. council is taking 6 months to approve a new hmo license. So while I get ready to make the property hmo compatible, I am wondering how landlords deal with individual tenants not honouring the hmo contract and leave midway. I suspect this might be happening often. So this will create voids and the income will reduce. Any suggestions?
This is just one of many management issues of HMOs. I would urge you to read much more about the management and regulation of HMOs before considering this. Its not something I would take on any more.
thanks David.
yes I certainly don’t want any more hassles.
