Hi, I have moved house but the property I rent out remains the same. Do I need to inform the let property building insurance know. If so , how do I contact Arkel to do this?
You may need landlord insurance, which usually differs from domestic home policies by adding tenant and third party cover. Find your existing policy and phone them.
Well suppose there is an issue with the rented property that Arkel are insuring, or at end of year they write to you with updated premium details. Wouldnt it be better they already have your new address so any correspondence actually gets to you??
Tell anyone you have financial dealings with [inc tenant and agents, bank, mortgage lender, insurer etc] your new address.
Also be sure to tell Land Registry, for all properties you own, otherwise can be difficulties in future [for example if you want to re-mortgage]
Give them a phone call ? or whatever it says on policy doc

No e-mail or phone number on the policy documents , guess Ill have to google it and hope I get the right one
Did you get it through a broker? If so go back to them. I had Arkel insurance through CIA. I thought they only operated through brokers.
you must have an email or tel number on your docs or what was sent to you when you bought the policy, otherwise how would you make a claim? Check the emails/full set of docs you were sent
