Call back from land lord

Hi I don’t really understand how this site works and finds it quite confusing. I applied to view a property on Rightmove Norwich which was an open rent property. I called and registered my interest on Thursday 18th and was told I would be getting a call back about viewing but heard nothing. Open rent tells you to allow 48hrs and then will get back to landlord on your behalf if heard nothing. How do I contact open rent to request this?

You don’t contact Openrent, They simply advertise the property, and pass on all enquiries for the Landlord to manage. The Landlord will have received your enquiry, It would have been courteous for them to have replied to you.

If you have not heard anything, you have two options;

  1. Assume that the Landlord is not interested in your enquiry.

  2. Send the Landlord another message through your Openrent portal login, and tell them how keen you are.

A lot of landlords refuse to follow up on voicemails because a very large proportion give irrelevant information. You should use the written reply option, where you might find some additional questions from the landlord. At the very least do the written reply as the main reply and leave a voicemail only for belt and braces. I guess Openrent give you an automatic message that you will be getting a call back but frankly when landlords are getting 100 enquiries per property to expect landlords to do 100 callbacks is unrealistic.
