Communal door keys

Hi All, When I purchased my flat recently, I was only given 2 communal door keys. I have 3 keys for everything else. I have tenants moving in on Friday and I’m wondering if I should give them both communal door keys, meaning I have none and request a new one from the management company? Or should I give them one and say I’ll get them another soon?

Also, do you know if it is normally allowed to cut another communal door key or is it normally prohibited for this type of key?

Thanks,

Mark

Any advice for a new landlord, please? I’m thinking I should have at least one of every key in my possession.

You can normally get communal keys cut yourself so try this first. Yes, it is advisable to keep 1 complete set of keys yourself.
