Elaborate?Of course. The smoking of cannabis by the partner of your tenant, outside and away from other people is none of your business and you should just ignore it. It’s not your problem.

Two things you don’t seem to appreciate.

  1. He is not away from other people - they are complaining about the smell.
  2. If his fag butts burns down my garage it is my business, and my insurer will through me under the bus!
    Anything else?

I agree with Donk - it’s not really your problem. The neighbours it is bothering should speak to the tenant - as they would have to if they owned the house - & if they burn the house down you sue them.

Obviously as a good LL you can tell your tenant to behave in a neighbourly manner - but it really isn’t the LLs problem until it is at a level that could be classed as ASB.
