Hi
My prospective tenant received a false/incorrect reference from a commercial landlord. They are a couple living together in the same property. The male received a good reference yet the female in the couple received an unsatisfactory reference due to not keeping the property tidy. A reference correction has now been submitted and the previous landlord admitted their error.
Both prospective tenants have a Guarantor.
Will I be eligible for RGI?
In your position, I’d be on the phone to my insurer to ask them.
Thats the issue, i was trying to add Openrent RGI, but there does not appear to be a telephone number or way of contacting them
@Paul238
No idea. Depends if tenants or guarantor pass the referencing
(No just prev LL ref but affordability, ID, credit checks etc)
The insurer will take all the info provided, assess the risk and let you know. They obviously can’t tell you or anyone else their exact decision making process - because then some people would use that info to try to cheat it
Good luck
They passed ID checks, credit checks, affordability, it was just on the previous LL reference that has errors in it that they have failed…im left in limbo not knowing if I can get RGI
Well if the prev LL ref was incorrect then you can always re-apply for RGI with a correct set of refs if needed, can’t you?
Why not just send the corrected version to OR customer support and ask that it be used in the RGI application?
Best
