Guarantor doesn't have online banking

Hiya,

Our guarantor has failed referencing because they don’t have online banking and opted out of the Open Bank check - so their income cannot be verified. If they can provide bank statements, is Open Rent or whatever third party they are using able to accept this? Does anyone have any experience with this?

They don’t have to do open banking, they can easily opt out, in which case the referencing takes the more old-fashioned route, in the form of employment references.

Not having open banking, is NOT the reason they have failed
