I’m a prospective tenant’s guarantor and am trying to get through the references section. Open Rent claims my bank doesn’t support open banking so I can’t get through the affordability section. As a retiree, I don’t have an employer, although I do have a four pensions, all paid into that account, and savings interest. How do I prove my income if bank statements are not accepted?
Doesn’t help your situation but we had an applicant apply for our house with the referencing through OpenRent. They declined to use Open Banking and wouldn’t upload bank statements. Somehow, they still got a ‘pass’ from OpenRent referencing…seems a complete farce to me.
