It appears a potential tenant has tried to mislead me.
I listed my flat and he informed me that he works at Uber and earns £42k.
He met the criteria for affordability but upon referencing seems to have made up his employment and income.
The comprehensive reference was taking over 5 days, I contacted Openrent to provide what they have.
The guy has provided employer reference contact as [email address removed].
I have put a claim on his holding deposit but the system does not allow listing to be relisted until this is sorted otherwise the claim will be cancelled to relist.
Going forward will only put someone forward for reference once they have provided bank statement and payslips.
