How to pay holding deposit with the UK debit card with India billing address?
Is there any other option to pay the holding deposit?
I had this problem as a landlord, my tenant was recently arrived from India to take up work as a doctor in the local hospital. He got round this by asking his employment agency to use their debit card and he paid them back. It’s a bit crazy as the main deposit can be paid by credit card. He is now moving on and I am in the same position with my next overseas tenant! It would be so much easier if Open Rent could accept credit cards for the holding deposit. I think I am going to have to ask him to pay me and I pay the holding deposit myself!!
