I have a 4 bed detached house with garden which I have let for the last 20 years. Over time I have found people are less and less bothered in maintaining the sizeable garden.
I have a gardener who would be willing to come and cut the grass and prune the shrubs on a weekly/fortnightly basis throughout the year.
However I’m not sure how to advertise the rental on Open Rent. Let’s say the Rental will be £2,000 p.m. for the house. Do I advertise it initially as £2,100 (to include the monthly gardener) and then drop the figure down if they say they are brilliant gardeners and will do it themselves? But then of course, they could just say that and turn out to be awful gardeners.
Would be interested to hear what other landlords have done with sizeable gardens.
