My tenants and I have agreed that they will pay directly to me. My dashboard has Open Rent saying they waiting for tenants to proceed with the payment to them but the tenants are paying to you. How do I declare that I have received their payment?
I don’t think you can use their online contracts unless you take payment through OR.
This is to prevent rogue landlords using the service to scam people (not saying you do).
The first rent payment and deposit has to be via openrent. You then receive first months rent approx 10 days after they move in. You can have ongoing rent paid to you directly, just opt out of their rent collection service.
