In the openrent contract template, there is a 4 month breaking clause plus giving two month notice for one year contract. Does that mean that the tenant, if they want to leave before the end of the contract, will have to cover minimum 6 months rent in total before leaving?
Hi Kai, yes that’s right. Landlords can change this clause during the tenancy setup process, but this is in the template.

Thanks Sam. How about the deposit that was protected? Will the tenant get deposit back before the end of the contract? If so, does it need the landlord to initiate from the deposit scheme?
