Key broken as half and stuck in door lock

I don’t think £110 to replace a lock is a lot or, depending on the location of the property, an exorbitant price for a locksmith to be called out as an emergency and sort the problem. However, I do think that you should make clear to the agent that you do not accept this is wear and tear and that you will consider moving to an other agent if they don’t reconsider.
We say to our managing agent that anything over £50 has to be agreed with us beforehand with exception of the annual gas safety certificate.

the agent said that due to safety concern , arranged as urgent job, but actually this is a back door.

i do agree to consider to move to other agent.
