Hi, can anyone recommend kitchen appliance cover i.e. repair/replacement for washing machine, fridge etc. I manage a couple of properties and thought I could get a recommendation that might cover multiple properties. Thanks in advance
Domestic & General are the largest… many of the appliance manufacturers like Whirlpool / Hotpoint have outsourced their repair cover programmes to D&G anyway. I have used them in the past and they were fine, occasionally frustrating as it seems that the various departments don’t always talk to each other but I suppose not unusual for a large company… I wouldn’t use them if you are in a hurry though. Some repair appointments I have had to wait weeks for, though to be fair, they said Covid has impacted their engineer availability. Hope that’s helpful.
Agreed: use D&G. Get tenant to liase directly. Tenants can manage for a few days to a few weeks, begrudgingly. They operate on the basis of repairs until no spares are available, then offer a new device at a lower price or cheaper model than the one you want.
Find an independent small trader that does repairs. It’s much cheaper.
The other day it was ÂŁ24 to clear debris from a w/m pump. Much less than insurance policies!!
