I have seen a house in ig1 and paid a holding deposit. Im suppose to take the keys today. How can i find if he is genuine or not
Have you physically viewed the property?
Have you spoken with landlord?
Where did you pay deposit to, direct to LL or via openrent.
Where was property advertised? Facebook is full of scams.
I take it LL isn’t responding?

I sincerly hope you havnt paid a deposit straight to a “landlord” for a house you seen a picture of. Its the biggest scam in the book. Scammer shows picture of nice house. Takes deposits off multiple people, gives them all a date to collect keys then disappears!
