After agreeing an offer with the landlord, having contract in place, etc. We have paid a deposit to secure property and then the landlord declined our offer. He doesn’t pick up the phone now and he’s trying to rob us by not returning our money. Please help.
Has the landlord discovered something different to what was said in the application? Were you completely upfront with everything? Landlord can keep security deposit if false information has been provided.
Do you have an ast signed by landlord?
Have you paid holding deposit and/or security deposit?

This doesn’t make sense. If you’ve signed a contract there’s no offer to decline. Both parties are legally bound.
