Hello, I’ve secured a flat a few weeks ago but having a bit of a nightmare communicating with the landlord. They take 5+ days to reply to any query (I’ve only sent them 2 follow up queries - it’s not me being unreasonably bothersome, just questions to help me know about what furniture is remaining in the flat and asking if I can pop along for a second visit to take some measurements).
I also had a bit of a weird experience viewing the flat - they didn’t tell me that they wouldn’t be showing up and it would be the current tenant, which meant to be standing outside wondering where the hell they were. They also haven’t given me their contact number yet (though the old tenant said he got it upon moving in).
It seems to be a terrible precedent - I want to know that if I have some sort of emergency it won’t take a week to hear from them. Any advice on how to proceed? I’m currently being ignored for the last 6 days, sent a follow-up yesterday.
