Why is it, so common here that landlords seem to put up an advert, reply once, and then if you do not reply back right away you do not get any reply back no matter how many times you request a viewing later on.

This is extremely frustrating when you are looking for a place with a time frame in place.

Just frustrated with the lack of communication.

Hi Saul, really sorry to hear that you’ve had this frustrating experience. We’ve discussed this topic a little before, here, so definitely check out @Elinor’s advice on that thread first.

To add to that advice, though, I would also recommend:

  • that it’s helpful to include as much relevant information about yourself (and co tenants) as possible when reaching out to landlords.
  • OpenRent properties do let very quickly. Properties let in 7 days on average with us. This is just because of how many tenants are using the site. Hopefully it means we have good properties, too!
