My checkout happened more than 1 month ago and there were some issues in the report that the landlord is yet to come back on. Should I keep waiting or it’s time for my to open a dispute with TDS because the agency is still chasing the landlord and it’s not clear when a reply comes back.
I think its time to query it with the scheme.
TDS states that the deposit must be returned to the tenant within 10 days of your request for the return of the deposit: Ask TDS: “When should my landlord return my deposit?” - Tenancy Deposit Scheme. By now, the landlord should know what deductions, if any, are to be applied so you should have had your deposit back by now, or at least an explanation for the delay.
