Mildew and odour

Hello

I posted previously about a property I am renting and issues with condensation on bedroom windows.
Both bedrooms are north facing and do not get much sunlight . These are the only two windows that we have bad condensation on .
We have had it inspected and a surveyor said that the windows need some work doing on them as there’s condensation between the windows panes (easy fix), so this has been ordered.
The living room and kitchen are ok , minor condensation which you would expect given the weather .

We have been keeping on top of the condensation, wiping it away every morning and also use a karcher window vac. Leave the windows slightly open also and heating on at intervals (morning and evening ).

We also have dehumidifiers running which collect a fair amount of water.
Make sure to use the extractor fan when cooking and lids on pans, with the window open .
Same when showering, extractor fan on and window open , then wipe the moisture from the tiles .

We have a sort of storage cupboard that has potential to use as a walk in wardrobe, however when we moved in it had moisture bags hung up to draw in moisture and has a musty smell .
It has no ventilation and is a dark room , so hardly surprising it smells.
I want to use the room so planning to treat whatever mold has formed , take the door off so it has ventilation and use a dehumidifier to draw out the moisture .
I have looked online and people are recommending air purifiers ? Would this help ?
Any tips to sort this room out?

Thanks

Heating such a home only at intervals will not be enough to stop damp/mold. You need to maintain the temperature at 18-21 degrees to ensure this along with the other sensible measures you are taking.

Thanks David .
Temperature does appear to be maintained at a comfortable level - I have also just ordered a humidity reading device .
Unfortunately cannot afford to have the heating on 24 hours a day , which is why we have it on in the mornings before work and in the evenings when we are home .

Just bought a humidity measure and it’s showing as 65% humidity and 19 degrees .
This is with all the action above such as running a dehumidifier, lids on pans, windows open when cooking and showering , using extractor fans , no drying clothes indoors.

How else can I reduce humidity ?
Landlord is replacing something in our bedroom windows as surveyor said some seals have gone in them . Will this help ?

as well as all this you need good insulation in walls floors and ceilings
