My tenant is coming to the end of his 6 months AST. I want to a monthly rolling contract.
Do landlord and tenant have to sign a new contract?

You are allowed to demand a rent increase every 12 months. You follow whatever clause is in your tenancy agreement or use a s13 notice if there isnt one.
