I am in process to do AST with new tenants to rent my house from 1st of November.
However, his wife who is joint tenant living abroad and coming back on 5th of November.
Am I ok to get one tenants signature to start the tenancy and get her signed when she is here? Or shall I use virtual signature option to get her signed virtually before I hand over the keys?

If a joint tenancy naming 2 tenants it wont be properly legal till signed by all so whether ‘ok’ depends whether you want to take the consequence risks. It would mean any deposit taken or rent received wouldn’t have been received legally I ‘think’ nor will you be able to use one of the govt deposit schemes I ‘think’
Cant see a reason not to use electronic signatures [which is OR default for ‘Rent Now’] anyway

Signing the AST is only one issue. There is other paperwork to sign that is more time critical. Assuming you have done Right to Rent checks on each, I would probably either delay the tenancy till she arrives, or if that’s not practical, make him the only named tenant and her a Permitted Occupier in the contract.
