Noise/music complaint from tenant

Hi James,

Sounds like a really awful situation you’re in! Did they not give you any recording devices?

Nope not in Yorkshire at all! My tenant is playing only between 10-3

Hi Mr T.
Unfortunately the housing association can’t help, they don’t own houses on that street. The EHO seemed to think that the house I was complaining about was privately owned. I’m not sure if I want to write back to her now as I’m hoping to God I pass the estate agents application process for the new flat I’m interested in. A couple of my own neighbours have noted the annoying music too, I wish they would say something but I don’t want to push on anyone like that.

Ok. I find that devious of the drumming tenant and quite aggressive. I can now see why the tenants may have just agreed to whatever to get him away from the door

Hi there Mustafa.
After telling me to seek help from my Doctor, the EHO did say they could if I wanted, order some recording equipment for me, but it would take weeks as there was a high demand.

I really just want to get out now…the new property is so much nicer than the one I’m at…nearer work… bit more expensive but still affordable.

I hope you get your problems sorted too Mustafa. good luck.

James

Hi James

Sorry to hear that you noise problems not sorted but
I can understand your frustration and wish you all the best in new place.

Just a suggestion to Mustaffa that to give a real strong notice to his other tenant drummer that because of him you have lost a good tenant and if any further complaints comes and he will get eviction notice.

I always remind all my tenants to respect your neighbours and not to play loud music and they will get 2 notice and 3rd notice will be out of the flat as properties are leasehold and freeholder can take action too.

Thank you Prafula.
Estate agent been in contact to say my references & checks were fine and were now talking about the tenancy start. Still very very nervous about handing in my 4 weeks notice to my current landlord in case the new one changes his mind, probably worrying about nothing.

Think positive and most landlords are good.so they don’t change their mind.
