I have 5 viewings waiting. My first view paid a deposit after viewing, with a preferred moving in date 16 Feb 2020 which doesn’t give me time to collect references . Should I text him to move his date ? or let the other viewings go ahead ?
ALWAYS get references AN experienced landlord said years ago to me " be wary of those who want to move quickly"… dont let anyone move in before YOU are ready

100% agree with Colin here, if you set the property advert through OpenRent with the date the property will be ready to move in etc and given yourself that timeframe to vet potential tenants etc, never ever be rushed. I hate to say it but being over accommodating can bite you back.

Thank you for your wise words and advice. I have now agreed a date with the prospective tenant in March which gives me time to check references.
