Tenant has given notice and struggling to find alternative place to live.
Notice was given in an existing contract with a 2 month Break Clause.
Where do I stand in law if I let them stay longer, as I’ve no wish to put them on the street?

If this were in England, then the answer would be that once they serve a valid notice, their tenancy ends and if you grant them permission to remain, they start a new undocumented tenancy. However, with the new Welsh tenancy legislation, I have no clue. Try the NRLA.
They obviously want to move but can’t. So keep tenancy going til they find alternative accommodation
Thanks, but the law changes if it goes beyond the normal 2 month break notice, which has been given. They would then after the end of May, have rights to a 6 months notice period.
