NRLA association

Good morning
As a landlord I’ve never joined a landlord association. Would you recommend this organisation?
I feel being a landlord is getting more difficult with more demands from tenants and legal stuff, joining an association maybe wise.
Thx
Linda

This is a personal opinion but I feel NRLA represents the large corporate Landlords and does very little for the small Landlord. So I have never joined.
Other local grouping may be more useful to smaller landlord and represent their interests better.

The Association have campaigned extensively with Governemnt re the Renters (Reform) Bill, and no doubt will continue to do so for the Labour equivalent bill. Your membership fee pays towards this. The higher their income from membership contributions, arguably, the more they can campaign on our behalf

In my view its worth it for the model documents and the advice line. If youre self managing then Id say its a must.

My wife and I benefitted greatly from doing their courses and getting accredited LL status years ago. It gave us everything we needed to know to manage properties ourselves so I’d recommend it from that point of view.
