I have a property that I let to a couple approximately 2 years ago. Both are on the Tenancy Agreement. They have since split up and the husband has moved out of the property but remains on the Tenancy Agreement.
I have been contacted this week by Solicitors acting for the wife who is seeking to obtain a Non-Molestation and Occupation Order against the husband. The Solicitors want me to send confirmation that I have no objections to this. Both the Solicitors and the wife believe she is able to continue paying the rent without the husband.
With these issues in mind, does anyone know if I am still legally able to take action if the wife defaults on the rent payments? Or if the imposition of either order affects any of my rights as a landlord?
