Openrent tenant is acting on behalf of someone else

Good morning, I am new to openrent and a first time landlord. I have had a lot of viewings but recently had been contacted by a current openrent tenant who is acting on behalf of there friend who is looking to rent my property. My question is, if I wish to proceed with these people do they need to create an openrent account? Or once I request for the deposit would they just fill there details in? Also what steps should I do first, reference check or deposit request?

Yep, the person renting the property would need their own account as the holding deposit is linked to their role as someone moving into your property.
