The landlord said openrent does not accept one month rent and he wants to send money to his account directly. I feel that is not correct.

It’s an option depending on what package the LL has signed up to with openrent. I always have deposit and rent sent direct to my own bank account. I like being in full control.
What do you mean by one month rent?
