Possible maintenance problem

morning…

ive been private renting for 4 years …through an agency.

when i first moved in it was extremely dated, i have been allowed to paint neutral colours. Its an old terrace house and even though maintenance checks have been done im concerned about my bedroom walls.

you cant put anything up on the walls as either solid brick or plasterboard.
i tried putting a tiny picture up using a small tack and using such light force but all i could hear was crumbling behind the wallpaper. :thinking:

i tripped the other day and managed to only touch the radiator…i hate to think if i leant against the wall.

i never like to mention anything to the agency, but the wall does worry me…

any thoughts please

You have an obligation to report issues to the agent/landlord.

Do this in writing. Protect yourself and you can then also prove that you have reported the issue if they fail to resolve and if you wish to take it further.

You can use something like “command” sticky hooks if you want to hang small/light pictures.

The hooks can be removed easily without leaving a mark.

thank you for you reply…i do tend to use these…but even with using these on some walls they just crumble.
