Power flush radiators

Has anyone used Powerflush UK to flush the radiators? They seem to have lots of good reviews on trust pilot. It’s only one radiator in a 4 bed house not getting hot but I have replaced it and apparently just replacing the blocked pipe would be very difficult, as don’t know where the blockage is, so could involve lifting up floor boards etc in several rooms.

Before you spend money power flushing have you bled the radiators and had them balanced?
Sometimes the flow to that radiator needs to be adjusted
Air can block flow which means turn off the rads and leave the one not working on and see if flow improves

If none of those work try power flush but it is expensive and they will usually do all the rads
Try an independent they are probably cheaper
Larger companies can flood these sites with positive reviews so it creates a false impression

As AA said.. sometimes balancing the rad flow is a bit tricky

Trust pilot is meaningless. Companies manage it so tightly and anything negative they challenge then overwhelm with positive reviews that they ask people to do.

oh that’s an interesting perspective. Allow me to disagree. I find it very helpful and, in my experience with companies, uncannily accurate.

Hi Linda, daft question but have you tried turning every other radiator off at the valve and crank the heating up so as to force water through to the radiator in question?.
If it gets hot you can then adjust the other radiators.

its so easily manipulated. all large companies have teams dedicated to doing this.

As I requested Graham… please allow me to disagree.

Thank you.

Have you tried adding a system cleaner? I’ve been a heating engineer for 40 years and I’ve often found that this will do the trick. As David79 said, shutting all the other radiators down will help to push the cleaner through this circuit. Give it a week or so to work, then empty the system, refill and add inhibitor. If successful it’ll be way cheaper than power flushing (cleaner is around £10).

Please allow me not to follow your instructions in an open comments section. Thank you.

Thank you very much yes tried all that not worked sadly.

Thank you very much yes have tried doing that.

Thank you very much yes we did try that.
