I’ve been approached by a company that wish to view the property on behalf of a tenant that’s moving to the area.
The tenant won’t meet affordability criteria for the property, however the company has said that they’re paying half the rent as a benefit to the employee. How would you set up the contract or referencing? The company are not wishing to be listed on the contract or act as guarantor. Any advice?
If they are not on the contract or guarantor then legally speaking they have nothing to do with the tenancy, and so you are basically going with a tenant who cannot afford the rent.
