I understand Rightmove requires proof of ownership (understandably).
My property is owned by my limited company, do I say I’m the Landlord or acting on behalf of the Landlord (the Company)?
I would welcome knowing what other Landlords do who are in the same position (as I’m new to OpenRent).
Thanks. Simon
I think I’ve replied to this query on another forum, but to reiterate here: If you wish to be the landlord in a personal capacity then this is possible and I think the Rightmove requirement would be satisfied by a letter of authority from the company. If you wish the company to be the landlord, then you state its name. Either way, you would also need proof of ownership by the company.
Thank you for your help.
I guess I just wanted to know how most people (who own property through a Limited Co) answer the Proof of Ownership question when listing on OpenRent (as required by Rightmove) - do they check the box that says ‘I am placing this advert on behalf of someone else’ (i.e. the company)?
