Question re Guarantor

Can you have more than one guarantor?

@Michelle66

Legally possible see eg UK based guarantors - Private housing guide - University of Gloucestershire

but suppose the tenant fails to pay and guarantor needs to cover the rent - which of the guarantors is then responsible? Tricky. Not sure it would be very appealing.

One guarantor who passes referencing & affordable checks will be enough for LL to get RGI so what would the purpose be of the 2nd guarantor anyway?

Best

Yes, and good idea if you have a young couple where parents are signing as guarantor. if both parents sign it avoids the risk of one tenant doing a runner and leaving the other one High & dry.
