Rent increase, just an amendment letter

Hi,

My rent is due to increase on 3rd August 2022, will I be getting a new tenancy agreement that must be signed by all concerned parties?

All I have at the moment are signatures to the agreed rent proposal (an amendment letter). In terms of proof of housing evidence, this wouldn’t be sufficient for universal credit. So I imagine that a new tenancy agreement should be created no?

Please advise, really worried about this.

Thanks

Hannah

No, you dont need a new tenancy to increase the rent. It can be done by mutual agreement or by a section 13 notice. If you need further evidence to present for UC then speak to your landlord.

Thank you for coming back to me so quickly wow!
