Hi all,

I’m a London based landlord and recently started managing properties for friends and family. I’m thinking of offering my services more widely soon, but I’d appreciate some advice: What would you want from a small, hands-on property manager that you wouldn’t get from a high-street agency? Have you tried similar services that fell short of expectations - why? And any tips on finding clients, online or in-person, would be super helpful.

have you searched these forums for the regular posts we get that are almost identical to this? Might save you some time!

The first things I’d want to know is which redress scheme are you registered with? Do you do have specific insurance covering your managing agent work? Do you collect rent for your landlords and if so do you have a protected client account to hold the funds?
